We wanted to say “thank you;” oh, and “Merry Christmas” too. We are both taking some time off around the holidays, so there won’t be a blog post next week. But we didn’t want to go without saying “Thank you.”

This past year has been a year of much change. And you’ve been with us the whole way – with phone calls, emails, visits, and most importantly, your prayers. Laura lost her beloved husband, Ken earlier this year and it was been devastating. Please continue to keep her in your prayers as she adjusts to life without him here.

thank you

On a much different, and happier note, we redesigned the website this year. Laura’s website was the first website I ever built, and it was time for a bit of a refresher. Because Laura is a Florida artist, we wanted her site to highlight that, and so we gained a “mascot”

We hope you enjoy seeing him around on the website! Thank you for being so supportive through the whole web redesign.

Laura has continued to paint – both on a commission basis, in learning new techniques, and in exploring a new painting series.

Laura is hoping to do a series of these double framed landscapes – so be on the lookout for more to come. Thank you for all your support in sharing, buying, and loving her art.

Finally, we are most thankful for the Savior whose birth we celebrate at Christmas. Jesus is truly Emmanuel – God with us. And in a year that has been so full of sorrow, how we need to be reminded of His very presence with us. Isaiah describes the Christ as “a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief.” His coming gives us hope, because He will come again.

“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away. And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new. ” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”” Rev. 21:3 – 5
